Player fees HK$1000 per player
Uniform fees HK$500 (includes hoody and personalized jersey and socks that the player keeps for SQ)
(PeeWee and Bantam players will have jerseys provided, and players with hoodies already will not have to buy any, so any remaining money from the $1500 deposit will go towards the ice fees at $150 per player, per practice)
*NOTE – players asked to play in 2 divisions will only pay the cost of practices/fees for one division

Overview of costs and requirements
Flight See below (reduced Typhoons rates)
Hotel RMB$500 to $800 per room per night depending upon room type. (See below)
Transportation coaches (buses) will be arranged, cost yet to be determined
Food Each person is responsible for their own food budget
Entertainment We may try to arrange some tours/events together - participation is optional
Parents are responsible for their children. If a parent cannot accompany another child, he or she must arrange for another parent to take care of the child. We will not have players travelling by themselves, and our coaches will not act as guardians for the children. Also, if a player travels with another family, they will have to bring along a guardian release form completed by their own parent (for travel into China).
We will book hotel rooms together, but parents are responsible for attaining China visas and they must also take care of purchasing airplane tickets. We start playing on April 2nd in the morning, and we should finish in the late afternoon on the 4th.
For booking flights, please arrive on the night of April 1st, and prepare to fly out very late on the 4th, or perhaps on the 5th or later if you want to stay and sightsee. Please do not wait to book tickets as the date is approaching quickly.

Tournament Information:
Fly out on April 1st at night. Tournament runs from the morning of the 2nd til 5pm on the 4th.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
BODYCHECKING
Bodychecking will NOT be permitted at any level.
RULE EMPHASIS
There will be no tolerance of any dangerous play. This includes deliberate acts of body-checking, slashing and high-sticking.
PENALTIES:
2 minute minor
5 minute major
10 minute misconduct
Match penalty – out of game and to be reviewed by the tournament committee
Off-setting penalties 4 vs. 4
HURRY UP FACE OFFS
Teams must get to the ensuing face-off quickly following each stoppage in play.
After 5 seconds the referee has the discretion to drop the puck.
EQUIPMENT
NECK GUARDS: Players are required to wear neck guards for all tournament games.
GAME LENGTH:
The use of the running clock will apply. The game clock for the first period may be started immediately following the completion of the two-minute pre-game warm-up. Teams should be ready to commence play immediately following the conclusion of the two-minute warm-up clock.
2-minute warm-up
3 Periods per Game – period duration will be 12, 12 and 15 minutes running time per period.
Games with a 2 goals or less differential will have stop time for the last minute of the game.
TIME OUTS:
In the finals, each team is allowed one 30-second time-out. No time outs in round robin games.
OVERTIME:
Overtime will be played only in the finals. Overtime shall be conducted in a series of sudden death periods.
First overtime period: A 5 minute sudden-death period with teams playing with 4 skaters plus a goaltender.
Shootout: 3 Players per team. Each player takes one shot (the team higher in the standings will decide which team shoots first).
Sudden death shootout - Rotation of remaining players (all players must shoot before a player can take a second shot).
ROUND ROBIN STANDINGS:
Standings will be based on points: two (2) points for a win, one (1) point for a tie.
TIE BREAKER: Tie-breaking
1 The head-to-head result involving the teams tied (two-way ties only).
2 Most wins
3 Goal-differential
4 Goals against
5 A toss of a coin by an event coordinator.
STICK MEASUREMENTS:
Teams are NOT allowed to request stick measurements during any tournament games.
GAME AWARDS:
Players cannot win the Player of the Game Award more than once.
DRESSING ROOM POLICY:
It is preferred only the players, coaches and trainers are allowed in the dressing rooms and the hallways leading to the dressing rooms before and after games.
BJHL (Beijing Junior Hockey League) disciplinary rules are in effect for the tournament.
PLAYERS BENCH POLICY
Only players, coaches and assistant coaches are allowed in the players’ bench area

PROTESTS:
No protest will be heard regarding a referee's decision.
All decisions made by the event coordinator, or their delegate, are final.
